THIEVERY

For Piano, Violin and Cello

This piece, which is inspired by the tale of Ali Baba and the 40 thieves, tells a musical tale of 3 thieves (impersonated by the Piano, Violin and Cello respectively). The opening is lively and tense. It is like the thieves are out doing their nefarious deeds. Suddenly, the music becomes frantic. Aiii! The thieves have been caught! This gives way to a slower section, where it is like each of the thieves is telling their own tale of themselves. Then, unexpectedly, a loud and fast ending leaves you hanging. The thieves are at it again!...

<---The performers really got into the idea of impersonating these thieves!
